From school to stardom? Trenton hitmakers share their secrets at TMM III: School of Pop, November 16 at TCNJ

What do Labelle, Instant Funk, Guns N Roses, Kool and the Gang, Poor Righteous Teachers, and the Geto Boys have in common? Some or all of the members of these iconic groups came from Trenton. Even the iconic Sound of Philadelphia depended heavily on talented singers, musicians and audio engineers from Trenton – many of them graduates of Trenton Central High School. And they are still at it today!

Meet some of the Trenton stars behind the music that set the whole country dancing, and celebrate the next generation of Trenton musicians at Trenton Makes Music – School of Pop.  The event takes place November 16, 7-9 pm in the Mayo Concert Hall at The College of New Jersey.
